Trip Overview
This is an experience of a lifetime with this once-in-a-lifetime tour of the Great Migration. The trip starts in Nairobi – Kenya with a visit to both the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and Giraffe Centre – Nairobi, where you will learn about their conservation efforts. Get to Amboseli national park known for the majestic views of the Mt. Kilimanjaro which forms the back drop of Amboseli National Park. Amboseli National Park is home to massive herds of elephants, where you experience exhilarating game drives along the swamps and get up close and personal with these gentle giants. Tarangire National Park has one of largest elephant populations in Tanzania, and boasts gigantic baobab trees, referred to as the “Trees of Life”. The ngorongoro crater, is the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera with over 30,000 animals. This makes it to be referred to as “Garden of Eden” and is one of the seven natural wonders of Africa. The Serengeti and masai mara is home to the Great Migration, teeming wildlife across endless plains, dotted with trees, kopjes, and riverine forests. This safari is great for all nature lovers and wildlife photographers.

Itinerary details
Day 1. Nairobi, Kenya
Karibu Kenya (welcome to Kenya). On arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta international Airport and after clearing with the customs and immigration department, you will be met by our team who will transfer you to Nairobi Serena Hotel.
Overnight stay at Nairobi Serena Hotel. BB.
Day 2. Nairobi, Kenya
After breakfast depart for full day excursion and visit giraffe center (AFEW) well known for their conservation efforts of the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe, David Sheldrick wildlife trust is famed for the orphaned baby elephants. Lunch will be served at the Carnivore Restaurant. After lunch visit the Karen Blixen Museum before returning to the hotel.
Overnight stay at Nairobi Serena Hotel. BB.
Day 3. Amboseli National Park, Kenya
Breakfast is followed by a departure for Amboseli National Park, arriving Amboseli Serena lodge for check in and lunch. After lunch enjoy a short rest before proceeding for an evening game drive returning at your lodge as the sun sets.
Dinner and overnight stay at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge.
Day 4. Amboseli National Park, Kenya
Morning tea and coffee is served followed by an early morning game drive returning for breakfast. After breakfast relax by the pool or proceed for a midmorning game drive returning for lunch. After lunch relax by the pool before proceeding for an evening game drive returning to the lodge as the sun sets

Day 5. Tarangire National Park, Tanzania
After a lovely breakfast, departure for Namanga, Kenya – Tanzania border follows. On arrival at Namanga, clear with the customs and immigration department, exit Kenya and proceed to Arusha – Tanzania for lunch at Arusha Coffee lodge and thereafter proceed to Tarangire National Park arriving late in the afternoon with a game drive en-route to our lodge .

Day 6. Tarangire National Park, Tanzania
Enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives in Tarangire National Park. The park runs along tarangire river which attracts large herds of animals especially during the dry season. The park is famous for the big Herds of elephants and also the big baobab trees, rear animal species like the fridge eared oryx, the greater kudu are also found.

Day 7. Ngorongoro conservation Area, Tanzania
Leav9e Tarangire National Park after breakfast and proceed to ngorongoro conservation area, arriving at ngorongoro crater in good time for check in and lunch. After a short break proceed for an afternoon game drive returning to your lodge as the sun sets.

Day 8. Ngorongoro conservation Area, Tanzania
After breakfast, check out and descend 600m in to the magnificent ngorongoro crater for a full day game drive with picnic lunch boxes.
Ngorongoro crater is one of the most densely african wildlife areas in the world and home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino’s. The climate attracts a lot of animals all the year round including, wildebeest, Buffalo, hippo, elephant its home to the big cats as well the lion’s, cheetah, hyena, jackals and even the elusive leopard.
Later return to your Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9. Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
Breakfast is served followed by a departure for Serengeti National Park arriving for check in, lunch and Siesta. Enjoy an afternoon game drive, return to your Lodge by sunset.

Day 10. Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
Morning coffee or tea is served followed by an early morning game drive for a beautiful sunrise and a game drive over the plains of Serengeti National returning for breakfast. Midmorning you are on leisure and there after lunch and probably Siesta proceed for an afternoon game drive returning to your camp before sun set.

Day 11. Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
After breakfast depart with picnic lunches for a full day game drive viewing the endless plains of Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelles, lions, cheatah or leopard. Settle under a tree for lunch and thereafter proceed with your game drive en-route to your camp before the sun sets.

Day 12. Masai Mara National Reserve – Kenya
This morning after a splendid breakfast, check out with picnic lunch boxes and head to Kenya – Tanzania border isembania where you will once again clear with the customs and immigration department to exit Tanzania and re-enter Kenya then proceed to masai Mara national reserve
Arrival will be late afternoon with game drive en-route to Mara Serena safari Lodge for check in.

Day 13. Masai Mara, Kenya
Breakfast is served and thereafter proceed for a morning game drive returning for lunch and probably Siesta or spend some time in the swimming pool. Later in the evening proceed for an evening game drive returning to your lodge as the sun sets .

Day 14. Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya
This is your third day and another full day to explore the magic of the rolling plains of the masai Mara National reserve by both morning and afternoon game drives. Masai Mara is famous for the annual wildebeest migration one of the “seven wonders of the world ” it is native to the Mara River in Kenya. This is home to the big five (lion, elephant, leopard, Buffalo and the rhino) plus plenty of other plains game not to mention the over 400 different birds species found there.
On this day in the masai Mara you can opt to do an early morning hot air Balloon safari over the plains of this beautiful Savannah or a visit a local masai village.

Day 15. Nairobi, Kenya
This morning after a splendid breakfast, check out and drive back to Nairobi where you will check in at Nairobi serena hotel – Nairobi for day room and later transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight arrangements.

TRANSPORT
All arrival, departure transfers and game drive as specified in the itinerary by our safari custom converted Toyota Landcruiser 4×4.
WEATHER
December to March is East Africa’s “summer” with daytime temperatures from 80°F-90°F and evenings from 50°F to 60°F. June, July, and August are the coolest months, with lows around 40°F and highs of 70°F-80°F. September, October, and November are warmer, with lows around 65°F and highs of 75°F-85°F. Scattered rains occur in November and early December, which help to lay the dust.
