Trip Overview
On this trip, visit the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Nairobi, meet and learn about the life of these orphaned baby elephants then head to Giraffe Centre where you will be briefed about the conservation efforts of the endangered Rothschild Giraffe. Fly to Amboseli national park, World famous for the majestic views of the Mt. Kilimanjaro which forms the back drop of Amboseli National Park referred to as the world’s free standing mountain and the highest in Africa. Amboseli National Park is home to massive herds of elephants and you’ll experience exhilarating game drives along the swamps and get up close and personal with these gentle giants. Head north to olpejeta conservancy the biggest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, Then Experience one of the most awe-inspiring natural events on the planet: the Great Migration between July to October. Every year, over 1.3 million wildebeest, zebra and other herbivores make the journey from the southern Serengeti to the Masai Mara in search of greener pastures. This is an unforgettable experience that you won’t want to miss.

Transport
For fly in trips you fly to your destinations and all arrival, departure transfers and game drives as specified in the itinerary is by our safari custom converted Toyota Landcruiser 4×4.

Itinerary details
Day 1. Nairobi, Kenya
On arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta international Airport and after clearing with the customs and immigration department, you will be met by a representative of untouched wilderness trips who will transfer you to Nairobi Serena Hotel.
Overnight stay at Nairobi Serena Hotel. BB.
Day 2. Nairobi, Kenya
After an early breakfast and your trip orientation briefing set out for a full day excursion in Nairobi and visit giraffe center (AFEW) well known for their conservation efforts of the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe, the Sheldrick’s wildlife trust is famed for the orphaned baby elephants. Lunch will be served at the Carnivore Restaurant. After lunch visit the Karen Blixen museum before returning to your hotel.
Overnight stay at Nairobi Serena Hotel. BB.
Day 3. Amboseli National Park, Kenya
After an early breakfast and check out, guests are transferred to the Wilson Airport for their morning flight to Amboseli National park. Up on arrival you will be met by your driver guide and drive to your lodge with game drive en route.
Amboseli is famous for its swamps and the big herds of elephants together with the majestic views of Mt Kilimanjaro the highest mountain in Africa (19341 ft) and the world’s free standing mountain that form the backdrop of Amboseli national park. There is plenty of game ranging from wildebeest, zebras, gazelle, hippo, lion and cheetah and the bird life is prolific with over 360 different species. Return to your lodge by sunset.
After check in, enjoy your lunch and thereafter siesta depart for your afternoon game drive, returning as the sun sets.

Day 4. Amboseli National Park
Morning tea or coffee is served followed by an early morning game drive, returning for breakfast and there after depart for a mid morning game drive till lunch, or an optional tour to a local masai village or you may opt to leave after breakfast for a long morning game drive until noon returning to your lodge /camp for lunch. After lunch enjoy some rest or relax by the pool before departing for an evening game drive returning to your lodge by sun set.

Day 5. Olpejeta, Olpejeta conservancy, Kenya
After an early breakfast is served guests check out and are transferred to Amboseli Airstrip for their scheduled flight to Nairobi Wilson Airport and then arrival connect their flight to Nanyuki – Ol pejeta conservancy. On arrival you will be met by your driver guide and drive to Serena Sweetwater’s Tented camp in time for check in lunch and thereafter siesta proceed for the evening game drive returning to the camp as the sun sets.

Day 6. Olpejeta Conservancy, Kenya
On this day breakfast is served, followed by a morning game drive with a visit to the chimpanzee and the rhino sanctuary before returning to the camp for lunch. After lunch relax by the pool before proceeding for an evening game drive returning to the camp by sunset.

Day 7. Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya
After an early breakfast and check out, a transfer to the Airstrip follows for your flight to Maasai Mara National Reserve. On arrival you will be met by your driver guide and transfer to Mara Serena Safari Lodge for check in, lunch and probably after lunch, have a short break before embarking on your evening game drive, returning to your camp as the sun sets.

Day 8. Maasai Mara, Kenya
After breakfast depart with picnic lunches as you have another full day to explore the magic of the rolling plains of the maasai Mara National reserve famous for the annual wildebeest migration one of the “seven wonders of the world ” it is native to the Mara River in Kenya. The maasai Mara is home to the big five (lion, elephant, leopard, Buffalo and the rhino) plus plenty of other plains game not to mention of the over 400 different birds species found there.

Day 9, Nairobi, Kenya
This is the last day of your trip we have an early morning game drive scheduled and thereafter breakfast, check out and transfer to the Mara Serena Airstrip for your flight to Nairobi. On arrival at the Wilson Airport, you will be met by a representative of Untouched Wilderness trips and drive to the Carnivore Restaurant for lunch and thereafter transfer to the Airport for your onward arrangements or Nairobi Serena Hotel for use of a day room and later transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta international Airport for your outbound flight.

December to March is East Africa’s “summer” with daytime temperatures from 80°F-90°F and evenings from 50°F to 60°F. June, July, and August are the coolest months, with lows around 40°F and highs of 70°F-80°F. September, October, and November are warmer, with lows around 65°F and highs of 75°F-85°F. Scattered rains occur in November and early December, which help to lay the dust.
