Experience the beauty of Kenya and start with a visit to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. The Trust is the most successful elephant-rescue and rehabilitation program in the world.

You will get the opportunity to meet these orphaned baby elephants before heading to Giraffe Centre where you will learn about the conservation efforts of the endangered Rothschild Giraffe then to Karen Blixen Museum, once the home of Out of Africa author Karen Blixen.

Then drive to Amboseli National Park which lies below the most famous symbol of Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world, rewarding visitors with stunning views when the weather is clear.

Amboseli National Park is is also known as the home to massive herds of elephants and you’ll experience exhilarating game drives along the swamps and get up close and personal with these gentle giants.

Tsavo National Park is located in the southwestern part of Kenya. Tsavo is divided into 2 having Tsavo East National Park & Tsavo West National Park. The park is known for having quite a number of Lions that were sometime termed as the “Man-Eaters” and other animal species like the large herds of elephants.

Famous for man-eating lions, Tsavo national park also consist of a rugged landscape which is also made up of mountains as well as wooded grasslands in Tsavo west national park.

In contrast, Tsavo east national park is characterized by semiarid grasslands and savannah where wildlife species can be seen.

The man-eating lions in Tsavo national park came to be known as above when two maneless lions attacked construction workers during the construction of the railway passing through the national park.

Itinerary details

Day 1. Nairobi, Kenya

On arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta international Airport and after clearing with the customs and immigration department, you will be met by our team who will transfer you to Nairobi Serena Hotel.

Overnight stay at Nairobi Serena Hotel. BB.

Day 2. Nairobi, Kenya

After an early breakfast set out for a full day excursion in Nairobi and visit national Park, Sheldrick’s wildlife trust is famed for the orphaned baby elephants. Lunch will be served at the Carnivore  Restaurant and thereafter lunch visit giraffe center (AFEW) well known for their conservation efforts of the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe,before returning to your hotel.

Overnight stay at Nairobi Serena Hotel. BB.

Day 3. Amboseli National Park, Kenya

Departure for Amboseli national park follows after an breakfast with a stopover arriving at your lodge in good time for check in and lunch.

After a short siesta depart for your evening game drive returning to your lodge as the sun sets.

Day 4. Amboseli National Park, Kenya

Morning tea and coffee is served and thereafter travelers depart for an early morning game drive returning for breakfast and there after proceed for a mid morning game drive returning for lunch. After lunch relax by the pool before proceeding for an evening game drive returning by sun set.

Day 5. Tsavo West National Park, Kenya

Early morning game and thereafter breakfast check out and depart for Tsavo west National Park arriving in time for lunch. Tsavo West National Park is famous for its beautiful scenery and landscapes including Mt Kilimanjaro that can be seen from a distance. Also a must to visit is the mzima springs where hippos, crocodile and fish can be seen from the glass built bunker under crystal clear water filtered from chyulu hills gashing below lava. Other places to visit is the shetani lava flows, the roaring rocks not to forget the five sister hills. Tsavo is also known for its large population of the elephants, endangered wildlife that include the black rhino, the hunting dogs, hunters heartbeeste and over 500 different birds species.

After lunch and probably siesta depart for an afternoon game drive returning to your lodge or camp as the sun sets.

Day 6. Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary – Saltlick, Kenya

After breakfast, depart Tsavo West national park with game drive enroute for Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary which is less 3 Hrs drive. Taita Hills Sanctuary is sufficiently isolated to develop endemic forms and birders which come from afar to see the Taita Olive Thrush and the Taita White-eye. You will arrive around lunch time. lunch at Taita Hills Game Lodge. After lunch transfer to Sarova Salt lick game lodge. Later afternoon game drive until late in the evening dinner and overnight at Sarova Salt lick game lodge.

Day 7. Tsavo East National Park, Kenya

Early morning game drive returning for breakfast and thereafter breakfast check out and depart Taita Hills wildlife sanctuary for Tsavo East national Park ( drive will be 3 hours to main gate ) which is renowned for its large numbers of elephants and the famous man eating lions. You will arrive tsavo east with Game en-route proceeding to your lodge for lunch and check inn. Check in at Ashnil Aruba lodge. Later afternoon more game drive in the park with a visit to Aruba dam. later dinner and overnight at Ashnil Aruba lodge.

Day 8. Tsavo East National Park Full Day Game

After a early breakfast or picnic breakfast, depart for an half day game drive returning for lunch. After lunch and probably siesta, proceed for an evening game drive until sunset.

The sight of dust-red elephant wallowing, rolling and spraying each other with the midnight blue waters of palm-shaded Galana River is one of the most evocative images in Africa. This, along with the 300 kilometer long Yatta Plateau, the longest lava flow in the world, make for an adventure unlike any other in the tsavo east. Its popular residents like the well known predators and their opponents like the Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Hippo and a visit to Aruba Dam.

Day 9. Nairobi

Early Morning breakfast at your camp, check out and Drive to Nairobi with a stop for lunch and afterwards drop off at your respective hotel or Airport for your onward arrangements..

WEATHER

December to March is East Africa’s “summer” with daytime temperatures from 80°F-90°F and evenings from 50°F to 60°F. June, July, and August are the coolest months, with lows around 40°F and highs of 70°F-80°F. September, October, and November are warmer, with lows around 65°F and highs of 75°F-85°F. Scattered rains occur in November and early December, which help to lay the dust.
