Trip Overview
This is a thrilling classic trip experience that offers fantastic wildlife viewing opportunities in Kenya and Tanzania’s most iconic parks. Start in Nairobi with a visit to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and Giraffe Centre where you will learn about their conservation programs. Head north to olpejeta conservancy the biggest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and host to the chimpanzee sanctuary then you drive through the Thompsons waterfalls formally Nyahururu falls then continue to great rift-valley to Lake Nakuru National park re-known for its flamingoes and as a birdwatchers paradise. From there on to the world famous masai mara national reserve where the migratory animals make the game viewing experience memorable and unforgettable. Fly Nairobi then to Amboseli national park, World famous for the majestic views of the Mt. Kilimanjaro which forms the back drop of Amboseli National Park re-known for the big herds of elephants. Get to Lake Manyara and its tree climbing lions before descent to the ngorongoro crater, the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera that was formed when one big volcano erupted and collapsed on itself about in 2 – 3 million years ago has over 30,000 animals. This makes it to be referred to as “Garden of Eden” and is one of the seven natural wonders of Africa. The Serengeti is home to the Great Migration, teeming wildlife across endless plains, dotted with trees, kopjes, and riverine forests. This safari is great for all nature lovers and wildlife photographers.

- Lake Manyara National Park. This park is famous for flamingos and the tree climbing lions.
- Ngorongoro crater. The ngorongoro crater, the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera that was formed when one big volcano erupted and collapsed on itself about in 2 – 3 million years ago.
- Ngorongoro conservation. area also referred to as the Garden of Eden due to its dazzling beauty and being a paradise for animals.

- The annual wildebeest migration masai mara and Serengeti national park. Tanzania’s most famous national park and has the largest concentration of migratory game animals in the world.

Itinerary details
Day 1. Nairobi City, Kenya
On arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta international Airport and after clearing with the customs and immigration you will be met by a representative of Untouched wilderness Trips and transferred to Nairobi Serena Hotel.
Overnight stay at Nairobi Serena Hotel. BB.
Day 2. Nairobi City, Kenya
Travelers will depart after breakfast and proceed for a full day excursion and visit giraffe center, Sheldrick’s wildlife trust. Lunch will be served at the Carnivore Restaurant and there after visit Karen Blixen Museum before returning to your hotel.
Overnight stay at Nairobi Serena hotel. BB.
Day 3. Olpejeta Conservancy, Kenya
Guests depart after breakfast for Olpejeta conservancy, heading north east with a stop along the way. Arrival in Sweetwaters camp will be in time for check in lunch. After a short siesta proceed for the evening game drive returning to the camp by sun set.

Day 4. Olpejeta Conservancy, Kenya
Breakfast is followed by a morning game drive with a visit to the chimpanzee and the rhino sanctuaries returning to the camp for lunch. After lunch relax by the pool before proceeding for an evening game drive returning to the camp by sunset.

Day 5. Lake Nakuru National Park, Kenya
Early breakfast, check out and a departure for Lake Nakuru follows. This is a four and half hours drive with a stop at equator and Thompson’s waterfalls. From Thompson’s water falls drive to the floor of the Great rift Valley arriving Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge in time for check in and lunch.
After lunch and probably siesta proceed for an evening game drive in Lake Nakuru Natinal Park returning to the lodge as the sun sets.
Lake Nakuru National Park is famous as an ornithological paradise with over 1 million flamingos and boasts of over 450 different bird’s species. This delightful park is also known as a sanctuary for both black and white rhinos. It’s also home to so many different species of animals including the Rothschild’s giraffe, common zebra, Lion, Leopard, Jackal, Hyena and big herds of the cape buffalo.

Day 6. Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya
Early breakfast is served, check out and drive to Massai Mara National Reserve driving along the floor of the Great rift Valley. Later drive up the escarpment through the wheat and barley farms stopping in narok for a quick stop. Arrival in the masai Mara will be timely for check in and lunch at sarova Mara camp. After lunch, enjoy your first game drive returning to you camp as the sun sets.

Day 7. Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya
This is your second day and another full day to explore the magic of the rolling plains of the masai Mara National reserve by both morning and afternoon game drives or a full day game drive. Masai Mara is famous for the annual wildebeest migration one of the “seven wonders of the world” it is native to the Mara River in Kenya. This is home to the big five (lion, elephant, leopard, Buffalo and the rhino) plus plenty of other plains game not to mention the over 400 different birds species found there.
On this day in the masai Mara you can opt to do an early morning hot air Balloon safari over the plains of this beautiful Savannah or a visit a local masai village.

Day 7. Amboseli National Park, Kenya
Early breakfast is served, followed by check out and drive to the Keekorok Airstrip to catch your morning flight to Nairobi. On arrival at the Wilson Airport – Nairobi, connect to another flight to Amboseli National park and up on arrival you will be met by your driver guide and drive to your lodge with game drive en route to your Lodge for check in and overnight stay.
Amboseli is famous for its swamps and the big herds of elephants together with the majestic views of Mt Kilimanjaro the highest mountain in Africa (19341 ft) and the world’s free standing mountain that form the backdrop of Amboseli national park. There is plenty of game ranging from wildebeest, zebras, gazelle, hippo, lion and cheetah and the bird life is prolific with over 360 different species.

Day 8. Amboseli National Park, Kenya
Guests will spend a full day in Amboseli National Park and enjoy early morning game drive, returning to the Lodge for breakfast and there after depart for a mid morning game drive till lunch, or an optional tour to a local maasai village. After lunch enjoy some rest or relax by the pool before departing for an evening game drive returning to your lodge by sun set.

Day 9. Arusha – Tanzania
This morning we leave early, enjoying a scenic game drive through the north-western part of Amboseli to Namanga, the Kenya /Tanzania border point. We will stop at the border to Clear with the customs and immigration formalities, change vehicles and then proceed to Arusha. Arrival will be in time for check in and lunch at Arusha Serena hotel. Afternoon is at leisure.

Day 10. Lake Manyara National Park – Tanzania
After breakfast, the tour departs for Lake manyara National Park, arriving in good time for check in and lunch. After a short break, proceed for an afternoon game drive returning to your lodge as the sun sets.
This is an impressive park with two massive and shallow soda lakes covering two thirds at the foot of the Great rift valley Western escarpment. The park has a wide variety of animals, flamingos are attracted by the algae in the lake and when lucky you may have a chance to spot the tree climbing lions which make Lake Manyara National Park famous.

Day 11. Ngorongoro conservation Area, Tanzania
Leave Lake Manyara National Park after breakfast and proceed to ngorongoro conservation area, arriving at ngorongoro crater in good time for check in and lunch. After a short break proceed for an afternoon game drive returning to your lodge as the sun sets.

Day 12. Ngorongoro conservation Area, Tanzania
After breakfast, check out and descend 600m in to the magnificent ngorongoro crater for a full day game drive with picnic lunch boxes.
Ngorongoro crater is one of the most densely african wildlife areas in the world and home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino’s. The climate attracts a lot of animals all the year round including, wildebeest, Buffalo, hippo, elephant its home to the big cats as well the lion’s, cheetah, hyena, jackals and even the elusive leopard.
Later return to your Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 13. Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
Breakfast is served followed by a departure for Serengeti National Park arriving for check in, lunch and Siesta. Enjoy an afternoon game drive, return to your Lodge by sunset.

Day 14. Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
After breakfast depart with picnic lunches for a full day game drive viewing the endless plains of Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelles, lions, cheatah or leopard. Settle under a tree for lunch and thereafter proceed with your game drive en-route to your camp before the sun sets.

Day 15. Arusha, Tanzania
After an early breakfast enjoy a game drive en-route to the airstrip for you flight to Arusha airstrip and up on arrival you will be transferred to Arusha serena hotel for lunch, and a day room use and there after transfer to Kilimanjaro international airport for your outbound flight.

WEATHER
December to March is East Africa’s “summer” with daytime temperatures from 80°F-90°F and evenings from 50°F to 60°F. June, July, and August are the coolest months, with lows around 40°F and highs of 70°F-80°F. September, October, and November are warmer, with lows around 65°F and highs of 75°F-85°F. Scattered rains occur in November and early December, which help to lay the dust.
