We require 30% deposit wired to our account, and balance is payable at least 60 days prior to commencement of the safari or can be paid in cash US dollars on arrival. We accept payment by Visa and Master Card but there is a 5% surcharge for Credit Card Payments.
It is better to book as far in advance as possible to ensure availability at the time you wish to travel, especially during the high/peak seasons – July/August and Christmas/New Year season.
The best time for a safari largely depends on the specific destination and what you hope to see.
In general:
East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Rwanda): The dry season, from June to October, is ideal for wildlife viewing as animals gather around water sources and vegetation is sparse, making it easier to spot wildlife.
Peak season – (June to Oct) Middy- (Dec to Mar/ Nov to Dec) Low – (Apr & May).
Pack light but smart.
Essentials include:
Clothing: Neutral colors (khaki, beige, olive) to blend with the environment, lightweight and breathable fabrics, a warm jacket for early mornings, and rain gear. Avoid bright colors and camouflage.
Footwear: Comfortable, sturdy walking boots or shoes suitable for varied terrain.
Accessories: Sunglasses, a wide-brimmed hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, (may be cliganic bracelet) etc.
Yellow Fever: Required for entry into some African countries. Proof of vaccination is often needed.
Malaria: Recommended prophylaxis depending on the region and season. Consult your doctor for the most suitable medication.
When planning your trip to East Africa; Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, it’s essential to have the following documents in order:
Passport:
Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your intended date of entry.
Check that you have at least one blank page available for visas or entry stamps.
Visas:
Kenya: A Tourist eTA is required for Canadian and American citizens. You can apply online through the eTA portal.
Tanzania: A visa is required, you can apply online.
Uganda: A visa is necessary; you can secure it online.
Health Precautions:
A yellow fever vaccination certificate may be required, particularly if you are coming from a country where the disease is endemic. Keep your vaccination card handy.
Consult your healthcare provider for any recommended vaccinations and health precautions before traveling.
Travel Insurance:
We highly recommend you purchase Travel Insurance to cover you in case of eventualities like trip cancellation, interruption and emergency medical needs. It’s mandatory to have travel insurance when staying at some camps and lodges.
Accommodation
Lodges, Villas or Camps: Staying in comfortable lodges or tented camps, providing a unique safari atmosphere.
Meals: Full board meals during the safari, bed and breakfast in city accommodations, and half board for beach stays.
Transportation
Safari Vehicle: We use 4×4 safari vehicle equipped for game drives, accompanied by a knowledgeable driver-guide.
Airport Transfers: Transfers to and from the airport are included in your package.
Internal Flights: Depending on the specific safari package, internal flights may also be included.
Game Drives
Scheduled Drives: Daily game drives to explore national parks and reserves, offering opportunities to see wildlife in their natural habitats.
Professional Guides: Our local professional English-speaking driver-guides are extensively trained and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to your safari experience. With a deep understanding of the wildlife and ecosystems, they are dedicated to sharing their insights, ensuring you gain a rich appreciation for the diverse flora and fauna around you.
Binoculars: Upon request, we can provide a shared pair of binoculars for your safari. However, we highly recommend bringing your own favorite pair for optimal animal scouting. Having your personal binoculars will enhance your experience, allowing you to fully appreciate the wildlife and capture those unforgettable moments.
Park Fees
Entry Fees: All park and reserve entrance fees are included, covering access to wildlife areas unless specified otherwise.
Conservancy Fee: Conservancy fees are included for safari packages staying in the private conservancies for private and up-close viewing of wild animals. Additional fees may be incurred incuse you need to visit the main parks and Game reserves especially in the Masai Mara Game Reserve.
Beverages
Drinking Water: We provide complimentary bottled water in the safari vehicles to keep you hydrated throughout your journey.
To enhance your experience further, we invite you to share your favorite soft drink with us. Let us know your preferred beverage, and we’ll ensure it’s stocked in the vehicle, making your safari even more enjoyable.
On-Site Drinks: Depending on the package, some lodges, hotels, villas and camps include complimentary beverages such as water, tea, and coffee.
Meals
Full Board: All meals included while on safari, bed and breakfast for city stays, and half board for beach resorts.
City Meals: Upon your arrival, your accommodation for the first night will be booked on a bed-only basis. The following day, you will enjoy bed and breakfast, providing a convenient start to your day of adventure. Please note that this arrangement may vary if specified differently in your private customized safari package.
Dietary: If you have any specific requests or dietary needs, please feel free to let us know in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
No. International flights and airfare / transportation to and from East Africa is not included.
We use safari custom converted Toyota Landcruiser 4×4. All our safari drivers are trained tour guides, friendly, experienced, knowledgeable and are committed to ensuring clients’ satisfaction.
Our safaris have guaranteed departures with a minimum of two people and recommend a maximum of 6 persons per safari landcruiser, for guaranteed window seats.

Are we guaranteed to see the ‘Big Five’ as well as other wildlife whilst on safari you’re your company?
We cannot guarantee this! as all of the animals are in their natural habitats and environment, but with our chosen locations you will not be disappointed!
This is a fee imposed on single travelers by the hotels, lodges and camps. Our safari prices are quoted based on two people sharing accommodation. If someone takes a room by themselves they have to pay the per-person price plus the single supplement fee.
We cannot guarantee that facilities will be available for such as wheelchair passengers, but some of the properties that we use have these facilities. Please contact us with your specific requirements.
Yes we can! Please make sure to give us advanced notice so that we can make arrangements with the lodges and camps concerned.
We strongly recommend that you take out all of the necessary Travel Insurance before commencing on your journey. This cover should include for emergency evacuation. Please refer to our terms and conditions.
All of the destinations that we offer are considered to be safe and secure, and are all well-established destinations and locations.
– We recommend that our clients take up temporary membership with Flying Doctor’s Services at US$25 to US$50 depending on the radius (we shall advise).

English is spoken throughout East Africa. Other common languages include Germany, Italian, French, and Spanish especially by those involved in the tourist circles.
While water in major towns is chlorinated and relatively safe to washing but not for drinking. It is safer to drink sealed bottled water provided by Untouched Wilderness Trips Ltd and hotels and lodges.
Vaccination requirements change from time to time. We suggest you consult your local doctor or health department for information on the latest health precautions. If you are on prescription medication, please ensure you have an adequate supply to last the duration of your stay and a copy of your prescription(s).
For wildlife photography, a 200 mm zoom lens is the smallest that you should use, A 300-400 zoom is preferable. For bird-watchers, a 500mm or larger is necessary, and a wide-angle lens would be ideal for scenic shots.
Bring extra camera and flash batteries and plenty of film – you may find these quite expensive and difficult to obtain locally.
